The Students’ Scientific Society of Vanadzor State University started its regular 8th session, dedicated to the Heroic Battles of May and the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia. More than 80 students, from Artsakh and 8 other universities of the Republic of Armenia participated in the Republican Scientific Conference of students, which was organized for the first time in the history of VSU by the students' efforts.

The following universities partook in the scientific conference: American University of Armenia, Vanadzor State University, Artsakh State University, Gavar State University, Military University named after Vazgen Sargsyan, Armenian State Pedagogical University, YSU Ijevan Branch and Gevorkian Theological Seminary. The participation of Gevorkian Theological Seminary in the scientific conference was unprecedented.

Welcoming the participants of the Plenary Session, Aren Santoyan, Vice Rector on Science and International Relations, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor, highlighted the fact that the students of 8 universities of the Republic of Armenia gathered together in the context of the scientific conference, and hoped that the next 9th conference would bring more participants to Vanadzor. A. Santoyan emphasized that there is always something new to reveal in science.

Arman Bernecyan, a lecturer of the Chair of History of VSU, emphasized not only the conduction of the scientific conference, but also the fact, that this important scientific event was dedicated to the Heroic Battles of May and the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia.

After the Plenary Session, the works are continued in the following 5 departments (linguistics, literature, economics and natural sciences, biology and chemistry, pedagogy and psychology).

At the end of the scientific conference, the authors of the reports were given certificates of participation.

The best works will be published with a separate collection.
