On the eleventh of September Alison Chick, the Deputy Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia, and Mariam Baghdasaryan, the person who is responsible for the political affairs of Embassy, met the students of Vanadzor State University.

British prestigious “Chevening’’ programme has announced the start of the admission of 2019-2020 academic years. The programme provides full funding for youngsters. As a result the students can study for a year for their Master’s degree at any British University. Alison Chick, the Deputy Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia said: “Chevening” scholarship gives students opportunities to study in the United Kingdom of Great Britain for their Master’s degree programme. There is no age limit for applying for the scholarship, the applicant must prove that s/he has an ability to learn well and s/he has skills for becoming a leader. So far, 150 students have applied for the scholarship programme.”

Mariam Baghdasaryan, the person who is responsible for the political affairs of Embassy represented the students the compulsory requirements for applying for the scholarship: “The applicants must be the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, they must have Bachelor’s degree, two years of working experience, appropriate knowledge of English language and after the scholarship programme they must return Armenia. The students can apply for the admission of the scholarship programme from the sixth of August up to the sixth of November.”

At the end of the meeting the students asked questions and they got full answers to their questions.
